Paper jams in a shredder are time consuming, frustrating, messy and can be costly if you have to call out an engineer. With the RDM1170 shredder, paper jams are a thing of the past. Featuring the revolutionary Mercury Jam Free technology, the RDM1170 has a unique brightly lit LED indicator that warns you whether you are trying to feed too much paper into the shredder in one go. After removing the excess paper the shredder will continue to shred automatically.The RDM1170 is a high security shredder that can shred up to 12 sheets of 70gsm paper (11 sheets of 80gsm) in a continuous single feed as well as paperclips and staples. Specifically designed for regular shredding of confidential documents.The front opening door hides a pull out frame which can contain 70 litre plastic or paper bags to with a 500 sheet capacity to enable simple and mess free emptying and the shredder cuts off automatically when the bag is full signalling that it needs emptying. The Auto Oiling system squirts shredder oil into the cutting head when needed and keeps the performance of the shredder on the highest level and prolongs the life span. The RDM1170 goes into power saving mode after 2 minutes of non use which reduces any unnecessary power usage making it an ideal choice for the environmentally friendly office. Optional 70 litre paper waste sacks are available to encourage you and your colleagues to recycle the shredded paper.
